Fitness Instructors work with people to support their physical wellbeing and improve their fitness. They usually instruct groups and classes. They work in fitness centres, studios, gyms, physical rehabilitation centres and often work on a casual or part time basis, servicing more than one provider and set of clients.

Nationally Recognised Qualification
The Australian College of Fitness & Personal Training only provides training and qualifications within the Australian Qualifications Framework – the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian vocational education and training. Only registered training organisations can deliver nationally recognised qualifications under the authority of the Australian Skills Quality Authority. You will have up to 12 months to complete SIS 30321 Certificate III in Fitness, and the course is completely self-paced without any assessment deadlines.
If you need more time, you can apply for 6 months extension at an extra cost.
There’s nothing worse than waiting months for your assignments to be marked. The Australian College of Fitness & Personal Training has an industry leading marking system that allows us to aim for assignments to be returned no later than 10 business days from submission. The support team are available from 8am until 8pm to support learners who have family and work commitments.
The good news is that you don’t have to wait for your assessment to be marked to keep studying. Our unique learning management system will automatically release another unit (up to 4 units) so you can keep studying while your submitted assessments are getting marked!

To complete your qualification, you will need to have access to:
A computer with reliable internet access and a web browser
Digital presentation media (e.g. PowerPoint)
A facility to complete work placement under the supervision of a suitability qualified industry expert
As an entry requirement of SIS30321 – Certificate III in Fitness, the learner must acknowledge that they will organise a suitable work placement at a facility with the required resources and equipment accordance with the work placement checklist. This work placement checklist is provided in the enrolment application. The learner needs to complete the checklist to confirm the suitability of the work placement site and submit it via email for approval.

Hold the required state or territory criminal and working with children check (Blue card) prior to commencing work placement
Learners will be required to undertake a minimum of 40 hours of work placement in a suitably resourced workplace for successful completion of this qualification. It is the responsibility of the learner to source a suitably equipped and resourced workplace to undertake their work placement. Our qualified trainers are here to provide advice and support if required.
