Plagiarism is the use of another person’s work without referencing where the information came from. If learners use text in their assessment that has been copied from another document (a textbook, the Learner Guide, the internet, or another learner’s work), this is plagiarism. It is the act of stealing another person’s work.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
Plagiarism is the use of another source’s or person’s work (words), within a learner’s assessment, without referencing where the information came from. If learners copy and paste text from another document (a text book, the Learner Guide, the internet or another learner’s work), this is plagiarism. It is the act of stealing another person’s work.
RE-SUBMISSION OF PLAGIARISED WORK
If a learner’s assessment has been returned to them by the trainer because of plagiarism, learners are to pay a $50 re-submission fee per assessment. This is to cover the costs of marking the work again. Learners accept that no assessments will be marked until the $50 fee is paid.
Third Party Consent
All the qualifications in ACFPT require learners to undertake work placement as part of their course. This is a national requirement for all the courses we offer, and learners must participate in work placement to obtain the qualification.
It is an entry requirement that a learner must be able to organise work placement at a suitable facility by checking the appropriate work placement check list.
Work placement is often the first step to employment in this sector.
