7 DAY SUPPORT
Responding to assessment questions
Dear Learners,
We hope you have had a productive week!
As you progress through your course, we wanted to highlight the importance of always providing fact-based responses to questions in Assessment 1 and Assessment 2.
So, why does this matter? Your work is marked against objective criteria, including government requirements, industry standards, and best practices. If you include personal opinions and subjective views, it becomes difficult to assess whether your response meets the required standards and learning outcomes. This means that your trainer will mark factual statements only, not opinions.
To make sure your assessments are marked satisfactory, we recommend you:
- Refer to your learning materials
- Respond with facts, definitions, or established techniques as required
- Avoid phrases such as “I think” or “In my opinion” unless specifically asked for reflection
Keeping your answers clear and factual will demonstrate your knowledge and understanding, and make it easier for your trainers to assess your work fairly.
Be sure to reach out to your trainer if you ever need guidance. We are here to support you and your learning journey.
Happy Friday!
