to reach the Brisbane 2032 Olympic games

Chasing a golden dream

I am a sprint cyclist whose journey epitomizes resilience, determination, and unwavering dedication to my sport. Over the past few years, I have relocated states twice in pursuit of my sporting dreams, navigating the complexities of balancing rigorous training with my studies in Physiotherapy and working part-time.

My path to success has been marked by significant financial constraints. A drastic reduction in funding has pushed the burden of paying for essential living expenses onto my parents and myself, working as a high-school tutor.

My most notable milestone was winning gold in the Oceania Elite Women’s Team Sprint this year. My ultimate ambition is to stand on the podium at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, representing Australia with pride and securing multiple world championships and Olympic medals throughout my career.

Beyond my athletic pursuits, I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in my community. As an AIS Thrive with Pride ambassador, I champion inclusivity and aim to help create a safe and welcome space within my sport.

Your support is crucial in helping me achieve my goals. Donations will directly alleviate financial burdens, enabling me to focus wholeheartedly on my training, recovery, and competitive preparation.

Your generosity will play a pivotal role in shaping my journey and inspiring future generations of athletes and advocates alike.

Thank you for believing in my dream and helping me reach new heights!

Why we’re participating

Many talented young athletes are denied the opportunity to pursue their dreams of representing Australia because they or their families can’t afford to fund the escalating costs of living, training and competition fees.

After years of investigation, engagement and passion, Nat Cook OAM OLY founded the Aussie Athlete Fund – an innovative model to directly support aspiring elite athletes. Nat’s own experience as a five-time Olympian, and those of her fellow elite athletes, highlight that many selected to represent Australia are hindered by lack of finances. Athletes are expected to win gold medals on less than the minimum wage. Balancing elite training, competitions, recovery, work, study and day to day life often isn’t feasible. Many athletes quit, burn out or both.
