The HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance course is a Nationally Recognised Qualification on the Australian Qualifications Framework which prepares learners for a career in Allied Health Services. Learners will gain knowledge through online study and the support of a dedicated trainer to support allied health professionals in a wide range of settings including physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, speech pathology, community rehabilitation and nutrition and dietetics.
This nationally recognised course reflects the role of workers who provide therapeutic and program related support to allied health professionals. The worker is required to conduct therapeutic and program related activities under the guidance of an allied health professional. Supervision may be direct, indirect or remote and must occur within organisation requirements. The worker is required to identify client circumstances that need additional input from the allied health professional. The worker may be engaged to work in a specialty area or work generically across the organisation in delivery of allied health assistance services. The worker, in conjunction with the allied health professional, may have responsibility for supervising other allied health assistance workers.

To achieve this qualification, learners are required to source suitable work placement at a facility with the required resources and equipment in accordance with the work placement checklist. Work placement needs to be organised by the learner and is a requirement in order to satisfy the assessment criteria of the qualification.
Summary of work placement requirements (full breakdown provided with enrolment application);
- Medical Centers, Hospitals, Allied Health Clinics, Physiotherapy or other health settings requiring mobility care as well as other care. Talk to a trainer to confirm the work placement location you have in mind.
Appropriately qualified and experienced mentor (Minimum Cert IV)
Learners will be required to undertake a minimum of 120 hours of professional work placement in a suitably resourced workplace for successful completion of this qualification. It is the responsibility of the learner to source a suitably equipped and resourced workplace.
Nationally Recognised Qualification
HLT33015 – Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance is a Nationally recognised qualifications provided by The Australian College of Fitness and Personal Training. ACFPT provides qualifications within the Australian Qualifications Framework – the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian vocational education and training. You will have 18 months to complete your HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
This course is self-paced, meaning that learners have maximum flexibility to balance work and study whilst still having one on one access to their trainer. Our user-friendly online material is well designed to perfectly fit the needs of learners who would like to cut out travel time and face to face sessions.
Learners have up to 18 months to complete their studies (an additional 6-month extension is available – conditions apply).

To complete your qualification, you will need to have access to:

A facility to complete work placement under the supervision of a suitability qualified industry expert
As an entry requirement of the course, the learner must acknowledge that they will organise a suitable work placement with the required resources, equipment and facility in accordance with the work placement checklist. This work placement checklist is provided in the enrolment application. The learner needs to complete the checklist to confirm the suitability of the work placement site and submit via email for approval.
